At MacWorkshop, we encourage every one of our customers to keep regular backups of their data. Depending on your hardware, software and general setup, there are many and varied ways of ensuring the safety of your critical data. As they say, “hope for the best, plan for the worst”… Most people unfortunately learn this essential lesson the hard way.

It may not be time to panic just yet, though. Whatever the exact situation, we can usually help. How confident are we?

Our data recovery services are priced on a “no data, no fee” basis. If we can recover your data, we will charge you £125. If we can’t, we won’t!

Due to the nature of data recovery, we are not able to guarantee success - but we will do our very best for you.

If you’d like us to perform data recovery for you, please contact us so we can arrange to get your Mac or hard drive safely to our workshop. If you require your data smoothly migrated from one Mac to another, we can usually come to you.

Data Protection: Our policy is simple - it’s your data. We will never look at your data in more detail than is necessary to recover it, unless for instance you ask us to try and locate and send you a particular file urgently while we are working on your drive for you (which we will always try to do).
